Originally a grass roots organisation born out of a simple act of kindness by gamers in 2007, we believe in the power of a kind gesture, and a delicious cookie, to change hearts and effect change.

Today, we are a team spanning across Australia and USA, giving out cookies at gaming and pop culture events and raising funds for our charity partners.

We work with health promotion charities, running popup events to provide cookies to convention attendees while collecting donations that fund lifesaving health promotion initiatives by charities including Cure Cancer, The Cancer CouncilPeter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, and The Black Dog Institute.

Through the generosity of the gaming community we’ve raised over   $1,300,000.

We harness the power of cookies to unite gamers and non-gamers alike through giving and baking.

The Cookie Brigade is a registered charity with the

It all started in 2007, when two Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) attendees baked cookies to give them out to their fellow con-goers. They wanted no money in return, only a chance to bring a little bit of kindness and joy into the lives of strangers. Their efforts were met with an overwhelmingly positive response, with many recipients insisting on compensating them for their efforts. They decided that any money they received would be donated to charity and thus, a movement was born!

We’re proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organization and officially registered as non-profit charity in 2023. The Cookie Brigade’s growth and success is fully attributed to the steadfast support of our active volunteer community.

Our brigadiers often share fun stories of how they first heard of us or when they first got involved with the Cookie Brigade. We’d love for you to be a part of our story. Consider joining us to help us further our delicious mission!
